June 7 Picnic At Hart Park
Our “Welcome to Summer” event will be held at Hart Park, Section 8 picnic area (a tree shaded area with a restroom), on Tuesday, June 7.
Hart Park is the home of the newly refurbished adobe building now called the Kern River Parkway Nature Center. Katherine Winters, director of the Center, will explain to us how the center will operate.
SCHEDULE
5 PM: Karen Evans will lead a birding outing around the area.
6 PM: Picnic style dinner served (sandwiches, salad, and cookies) along with bottled water. (Vegetarian option available)
7:15 PM: Presentation by Katherine Winters
